Serve Speed Pickleball — Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Serve Speed Pickleball ("the App") is developed and operated by YoloStart. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information.
1. Information We Collect
Camera and Video
The App accesses your device camera to record pickleball serves. Video recordings are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to any server.
Storage
The App stores video recordings, processing results, and serve history in local device storage. This data remains entirely on your device.
Video Import
The App allows you to import existing videos from your device for analysis. When you choose to import a video, the App copies the selected file into its private storage. The App only accesses files you explicitly select and does not browse or scan your media library.
No Network Data Collection
The App does not collect, transmit, or store any data on remote servers. All video processing — including court detection, ball tracking, and speed estimation — happens entirely on your device using on-device machine learning models.
2. How We Use Information
Camera and video data is used to:
- Record pickleball serves for analysis
- Detect the court, track the ball, and estimate serve speed
- Generate shareable highlight videos
- Maintain a local history of serve results
We do not use any collected data for advertising, tracking, or profiling.
3. Data Storage and Retention
All data is stored locally on your device:
- Video recordings are saved in the app's private storage directory
- Serve history (speeds, timestamps, processing metadata) is stored in a local JSON file
- Generated share videos are saved locally until you choose to share or delete them
Uninstalling the App removes all associated data from your device.
4. Analytics and Tracking
The App does not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or tracking technologies. No usage data is collected or transmitted.
5. Third-Party Services
The App does not communicate with any third-party services during normal operation. All processing is performed on-device.
The only external connection the App may initiate is if you choose to rate the App, which opens your device's app store in a browser or store app.
6. Third-Party Libraries
The App uses open-source libraries for on-device processing, including OpenCV for computer vision and ONNX-format machine learning models for object detection. These libraries run entirely on your device and do not transmit any data. See Credits and Attribution for a full list.
7. Permissions
The App requests the following device permissions:
- Camera: Required to record video of serves
- Microphone: Requested by the system as part of video recording (audio is not analyzed)
- Storage / Photos: Required to save and access video recordings
You may revoke any permission at any time in your device settings. Revoking camera access will prevent recording but will not affect viewing past results.
8. Children's Privacy
Serve Speed Pickleball is not directed toward children under 13. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share any data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third parties. No data leaves your device.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date.
