Pickleball Weather ("the App") is developed and operated by YoloStart. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information.
1. Information We Collect
Location Information
The App collects your device's precise location (latitude and longitude) when you grant permission. Location data is used solely to retrieve local weather information and calculate playability ratings.
Location data:
- Is used only for weather forecasting functionality
- Is transmitted securely to a third-party weather data provider
- Is not stored on our servers
- Is stored locally on your device to remember your selected location and enable scheduled notifications
You may revoke location access at any time in your device settings.
2. How We Use Information
Location information is used to:
- Retrieve local weather forecasts
- Calculate playability ratings
- Support user-scheduled weather notifications
- Periodically refresh weather data using background fetch
We do not use location data for advertising, tracking, or profiling.
3. Notifications
If you enable notifications, the App may send local notifications scheduled by you. These notifications are generated on your device and do not require a remote server.
You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
4. Data Storage
Pickleball Weather does not operate a backend server and does not store personal data on external servers.
Any saved preferences, including selected location and thresholds, are stored locally on your device.
5. Data Sharing
Location data is shared only with a third-party weather data provider to retrieve forecast information.
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
6. Third-Party Services
The App uses a third-party weather data provider to deliver forecasts. That provider may process location data according to its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of the weather data provider used by the App.
The App does not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or tracking technologies.
7. Data Security
Location data is transmitted securely using HTTPS encryption.
8. Children's Privacy
Pickleball Weather is not directed toward children under 13. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Your Choices
You can:
- Disable location access in device settings
- Disable notifications in device settings
- Uninstall the App to remove locally stored data
Because the App does not maintain user accounts or remote databases, there is no server-side data to delete.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date.
